Sunday Scoop

Wow! It's been forever since I've had time to sit down and blog. I have so much that I could write, but the purpose of this blog is to share my Sunday Scoop that I'm linking up with through Teaching Trio.

Today, as usual, I have a million things that I have to do, need to do, and should do. Here's a quick glimpse of the things at the top of my list:

The past two weeks of my school life have been consumed with finishing the yearbook; therefore, my students have been taught, but not in my normal, small group lovin' way. They've begged for groups, and honestly, I've missed groups! I am by no means a whole group teacher! Sadly, desperate times call for desperate measures. With this being said, I have to do lesson plans today to ensure that I have happy students this week. Being prepared always seems to make my days go a lot smoother too!

Another thing that goes along with being prepared for a smooth sailing week, well as smooth as it can be with three small children, is having my children's outfits picked out for the week. It's just one more thing that I don't have to worry about at night.

I also have to go to church in about an hour. This means I need to hurry up and post this blog post so that I finish getting myself and the kiddos ready. Seriously though, I am still working on my relationship with God (and I believe that's something we are never finished with while we are still on Earth!). I have a long way to go to be anywhere near where I need to be with Him. Church is a very important thing for my family. It isn't just a routine, it's a necessity.

After getting all of things listed above complete, I hope to post a new product to my TpT store this evening. I have a couple of things that I'm working on for this week in my own classroom, so why not post them, right?

I also hope to organize my children's closets. Every time we have a major change in the seasons, their closets become a disaster area! We are at the point of one day it's too cold to wear short sleeves, but the next day it's too hot to wear long. Sigh. I've pulled down spring/summer clothes, but at the same time, they have fall/winter stuff still out in their drawers. It seriously looks like a clothes bomb has gone off in there!

Unfortunately, because I am so excited and happy to spend a beautiful outside with my family, I probably won't be getting to their closets today. Maybe I'll find time this week between ball and dance practice to tackle at least one closet! I'd be so embarrassed if someone saw their closets, but we've had so much rain here lately in Georgia that we are chomping at the bits to spend a day outside in the sunshine!

There you have it; my Sunday Scoop. I'd love to hear all about your Sunday!

Thanks for stopping by!

Currently....March!

Holy Cow! It's seriously March already!? I guess when you're really busy...errr...having fun, time really does fly by! I'm linking up with Farley from Oh, Boy 4th Grade to discuss what's up CURRENTLY.

I admit it: I need to attend Reality TV-aholics Anonymous. Although I don't have a lot of time to sit and watch television, I DVR several reality tv shows each week. Anytime I get to turn one of the shows on (even if it's just background noise) I do. I'd much rather watch a reality show over a sitcom. Hence why I was listening to "Sister Wives" while typing this blog post. The dryer and dishwasher part are just natural occurrences in my home that I was hearing at the time also.

Although I'm no where near becoming a millionaire or quitting my teaching job, my TpT store has really picked up for me since the first of the year. I think most of the success is because I finally listened to my sweet friend, Meghan over at Keeping Up with Mrs. Harris, and paid to become a Premium Seller. I've also begun blogging and pinning. It's exciting to see people buying products that I've made to use in my own classroom. Each dollar earned is a dollar that I didn't have before, and I always try to thank God for extra income.

I'm currently thinking about how jammed packed this week is going to be at school. We were out of school the week before last for Winter Break, and winter weather kept us from having a normal week last week. I have several things that I'm carrying over from last week into this week; however, there's also several new activities that I am hoping to get in as well. We shall see how it goes.

As I think about this upcoming week, I have realized that I need more time in the day...what woman doesn't need more time in the day, right? There are several things that I need to work on in my classroom, I need to work on meeting the yearbook deadline (yeah, I do that too...with all my spare time...lol), and my girls' extracurricular activities this week, I'm really not sure how it's all going to fit together.

What I need and what I want really go hand-in-hand, don't you think?

Our Spring Break isn't until the beginning of next month, but I can already tell you that I'm planning to relax with my three little loves all week long.

Well, that's what's up with me currently.
Thanks for reading!
