A Few of My Favorite Things...

Hi all! Happy Hump Day! I think it's safe to say that we all agree that returning to school from Christmas Break and a full moon week is some form of a cruel joke! It has been interesting in my classroom this week for sure!

I'm linking up with TeachingTrio again for another linky. This time, it's all about a few of my favorite things. So, here goes...

My first favorite thing would be my three precious children. The Lord has blessed my husband and I with what we consider to be our perfect combination. We have two daughters and a son. They keep us on our toes for sure!

Another one of my favorite things is a  novel that I aim to read with my 5th graders every year. The Late, Great Dick Hart is a story about two best friends that are separated by death, but then they are reunited in the fifth dimension where they are able to...I can't finish my sentence without spoiling the book for anyone interested in reading it. It is a fabulous read aloud. My students always laugh out loud and beg to read more when it's time to move on to the next subject in class. I can usually count on them to give a huge sigh when we are finished reading the book because they enjoy so much! If you are an upper grades teacher, this should be on our read-aloud list.

Lastly, I am not a coffee drinker (I know, I know...many teachers are!). I do not enjoy the taste, nor the smell of coffee. Trust me, I wish I did! My go to drink for caffeine is McDonald's Sweet Tea. I know it has to be loaded with tons of calories (if you know that actual number of calories, please don't spoil this for me by sharing...lol). There's no telling how many dollar bills I have given at the drive-thru in exchange for a large cup of this yumminess!

These three things make my heart smile! I'd love to hear about some of your favorite things! Leave a comment below to share.

Thanks for stopping by!

  2. My son is absolutely addicted to McDonald's Sweet Tea! He lives on it! Not a toddler or anything...he is 18 and in college. Lovebugs are as cute as can be!
