Sunday Scoop

teachingtrio.blogspot.com

Twas the night before Christmas Break ended and all the teachers were ________. You fill in the blank...the last night of a break is always so bittersweet because I have mixed emotions. On one hand, I'm ready to see my school babies, but on the other hand, I'm wanting to stay home just one more day with my real babies. As always though, break ends and reality returns--a busy, chaotic life. :)
This is my very first link up! I'm excited to link up with Teaching Trio for this exciting step in the blogging world. Be sure to check them out as well (after reading my blog, of course!).
So, without further ado, here's what I've done...well, planned to do today!

Organization is something that I've always loved, but I struggle with this concept majorly! I know that I'm always in a better mood when my house is in order. One thing that I started this school year to help with organization is picking our clothes out for the week. It takes me about 25-30 minutes to complete the process (ok, maybe a little more for my clothes...), but once it is done, I don't have to worry about it for the rest of the week! I'm always looking for small things that will help me be more organized! I've also worked on cleaning my house for the week, but that will really have to wait until "the 3" are asleep.

I am still in the process of entering my final grades...I am having a hard time getting motivated because I'm trying to savor these last few moments before returning to the real world. I guess it'll be a late night tonight. I'll feel the effects tomorrow during my half-day training!

I was also so excited to go to Sam's Club with a close friend and five of our six children (we have three children each). People look at us like we're crazy with our gaggle of children following us around, but they are well-behaved! I am all about bargain hunting and saving money, so Sam's Club is right up my alley!

Hopefully, entering grades will not take too long so that I can begin working on a new product for my TpT store! For now, I'm off to enjoy my last few minutes of break!

That was my Sunday; I'd love to hear all about yours!

Until next time,
Elaine, Teaching Lane

  1. I dread entering grades! I am happy I did mine when the break first started. I still had motivation then! Have a great first day back!
